The Manager, Clinical Laboratory Systems will be responsible for leading the product marketing strategy focused on instrument systems for the clinical laboratory in North America. Through strong leadership and comprehension of the true needs and expectations of the clinical laboratory customer communities , the Manager will be a product champion and lead the development and execution of strategic and tactical action plans that align with organizational objectives to deliver business results at or above expectations for the NA commercial organization. This position will be based in Raritan, NJ or Rochester, NY. Remote work options may also be considered.The Responsibilities
Develop, define/refine, and execute a NA clin lab systems marketing plan(s) supporting the achievement of the NA Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and placement targets. Be the NA clinical laboratory systems product expert supporting the NA Commercial Sales, Marketing, Service and Support Teams.
Maintain and expand a deep understanding of the NA IVD diagnostics market and establish productive relationships with key customers to drive voice of customer through organization and integrated into NA marketing plans.
Prepare and present clin lab systems business updates for monthly forecast, demand planning, allocations, and quarterly operating reviews.
Ensure effective product positioning and messaging is in place. Ensure knowledge/capability levels are reached with the appropriate commercial sales personnel.
In partnership with all key internal and external stakeholders lead / support NA clinical laboratory chemistry and immunoassay system product lifecycle management strategy for systems including product health.
Drive Launch Excellence for instrument system launches from business case through pre-launch planning to execution and attainment of objectives. Integrate customer knowledge and market data to ensure both on-market and future products and solutions have a strong value proposition for both the customer and the company.
Drive engagement, market and competitive knowledge through field travel, internal relationships, customer visits, planning of participation at trade shows (AACC), sales team meetings and NASM training sessions.
Bachelor's Degree ideally in Business, Marketing or Healthcare Management. MBA is preferred but not required.
6+ years of IVD diagnostic, core laboratory experience in a commercial organization with 3+ years in marketing and management role required.
Proven experience developing marketing plans and launching IVD diagnostic, core laboratory instrument and/or assay platforms required.
Proven experience in working with cross functional teams with the ability to manage teams remotely, to influence and take initiative.
Strong collaboration, communication, presentation and platform skills, analytic acumen and organizational abilities
Strong oral and written communication skills.
The ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and to deadlines.
Willing to travel up to 30%, primarily in the US.

Colorado State Posting Details: This position's starting salary is between $85,000 and $170,000 per year. Salary will be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. It is bonus eligible. Ortho offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, along with a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, paid time off (including paid sick time) and paid holidays.
