Job Description

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No supervisory responsibilities.

Travel:

  • Possible (Less than 5%).

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • This position is scheduled for 8am - 4pm, but incumbent must be willing to cover other shifts on occasion, if necessary.
  • Preventative Maintenance (PM) for the Energy Management Systems, components, and related BAS-controlled systems to include:
    • Testing and calibration of control & controlled components
    • Repair or replacement of bad components, valve actuators, and damper actuators on both electric and pneumatic systems.
  • Monitor and evaluate system and equipment performance for operational issues.
  • Daily reporting.
  • May be asked to assist temporarily with projects in other parts of the country.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to proficiently read Mechanical and Electrical blueprints.
  • Physical ability to perform all necessary job responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of experience in Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing or Controls Field..
  • 30-Hour OSHA Certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Johnson Controls Metasys, Trane, Honeywell, or Siemens training and certification a plus.
  • Johnson Controls Metasys training and certification will be provided, if needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • May have to spend prolonged outside exposed to inclement weather and/or temperatures.
  • Must have the ability to use hand tools, lift/carry 50 lbs., and to work on ladders/step stools.
