Job Description

Overview

To assist business unit management in developing and executing action plans, department policies, standards, and processes that focus on strategic, financial, and member service goals. Work with internal and external stakeholders to plan, deploy, and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns. Monitor and anticipate industry shift to ensure business units products and services remain well positioned among their competitive sets. Evaluate the portfolio to identify opportunities to improve Navy Federal programs, products, and services. Apply broad functional knowledge and expertise to improve the performance of product campaigns and initiatives. Maintain an understanding and working knowledge of the functions, processes, and systems of the other cognizant business units. Work on complex issues requiring knowledge of organizational objectives and competing priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead small initiatives or participate in large/complex marketing acquisition projects with guidance from senior staff and/or management
  • Collaborate with Marketing counterparts to plan and execute marketing programs - champion brand and member, develop product positioning, value proposition, messaging, competitive differentiation, and go-to-market strategy for specific products and service offerings
  • Identify and communicate changing trends as identified through competitive research and internal data analysis utilizing dashboards already created by internal teams
  • Monitor performance of promotional campaigns and initiatives and implement adjustments as needed to ensure effectiveness
  • Build relationships with key corporate stakeholders (Marketing, Contact Center, Branch, etc) and act as the face of Savings product strategy & marketing to advocate, educate, and drive product take-up and enhance members' engagement through promotional and educational campaigns
  • Serve as subject matter expert regarding Savings product functions and how they relate to other products and services
  • Collaborate with Member Research & Intelligence (MRID) and Product Marketing to compile/integrate and summarize data and key performance indicators used to create email campaign strategies to improve business results
  • Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organization
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Program Management, Business, Finance
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing campaigns
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective skill to influence, negotiate and persuade to reach agreeable exchange and positive outcomes
  • Self-starter with creative problem-solving skills and can-do attitude
  • Experience in collaborating across organizational boundaries and building partnerships across various functions
  • Advanced skill in building strategic and execution-focused plans and alliances with partner leadership
  • Experience in leading large projects/initiatives which have business risks and impacts
  • Effective skill interacting with staff, management, vendors and members diplomatically and tactfully
  • Knowledge of banking/financial industry trends, products and services
  • Knowledge of products, services, processes, requirements, and systems related to the business unit
  • Knowledge of state and Federal laws; industry regulations, principles, and practices; and company policies that govern the business unit's products/services
  • Demonstrated track record of managing multiple initiatives and meeting changing requirements and priorities to accomplish objective
  • Effective skill in the use of PCs and related software packages
  • Ability to synthesize results of analyses, develop and make recommendations and presents results to solve unique and complex problems

Desired Qualification(s)

  • Advanced knowledge of NCUA regulations that govern the activities, products and services of the business unit
  • Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives
  • Experience in working with leadership and management in diverse and complex operational environments

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
