Lamar's Corporate office is now hiring a new Insurance Compliance Analyst to support the Insurance Risk & Compliance Manager's overall risk strategy for various insurance policies and contractor qualifications.

What we are looking for in YOU:

  • Attention to detail is essential for consistent accuracy in handling technical details in a document
  • Must be able to gather data and draw valid conclusions from cause and effect relationships. This is useful in getting to the true fact of a case
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively build and manage internal and external relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet daily deadlines for projects
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to inform managers and other stakeholders of results
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and other analysis programs
  • Presentation skills, including public speaking and presentation creation using PowerPoint or a similar program
  • Critical thinking skills with the ability to independently solve problems with data

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, or similar required
  • In lieu of a degree:
    • 2 years of experience in Risk Management, or Safety
    • or 4 years of experience in a related field such as Construction Management or Operations Management
    • or another equivalent combination of education and experience
  • General insurance experience in relation to the overall business, including the sources of risk and potential options for mitigation including the ability to perform financial analysis preferred
  • 2+ years working with remote profit center managers to support corporate goals preferred
  • Knowledge of safety, insurance, workers compensation, claims management preferred

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the independent contractor agreement and the certificate of insurance process, ensuring subcontractor compliance in alignment with company standards.
  • Serve as the primary contact for field offices, insurance carriers, brokers, legal, and contractors to ensure a smooth qualification/requalification process.
  • Provide timely and accurate responses to data requests and inquiries regarding insurance and contractor qualification
  • Stay abreast of insurance industry standards, policies, changes, and news
  • Analyze data to better understand potential risks, concerns, and outcomes of decisions
  • Problem solve and resolve all discrepancies that arise as a result of risk analyses
  • Create reports, summaries, presentations, and process documents to display results
  • Collaborate with other team members to effectively analyze and present data
  • Any other duties assigned by management

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • The primary work environment is an office
  • The physical demands for this position include light lifting, seeing (with a focus on reading), sitting more than 50% of the time, talking, and walking.
  • Nights spent traveling, away from home, is less than 10%.
