The Maintenance Planner is responsible for the planning, estimating, scheduling, and coordinating Instrumentation and Electrical maintenance work orders. Ensure all jobs are planned and include Process Safety Management (PSM), safety and industry planning standards, and generally accepted best practices.

What you will do:

  • Review requests for work, needs of requestor, visits job site to scope work, & estimate the labor and material required
  • Work with Scheduler to develop Weekly Schedule - Ensuring that all resources are available
  • Track open work backlogs and status of work orders to completion/closure
  • Works with engineering and reliability departments as required to ensure technically sound job plans
  • Utilize instrumentation, electrical, and equipment specifications to ensure correct material
  • Work with QC department to ensure correct procedures and QC documentation applied to job plans
  • Assist in root cause failure identification
  • Responsible for forecasting, maintaining, and executing asset PM requirements
  • Develop and update standard job plans (Asset Activities) for repeat routine jobs
  • Develop project plans for large jobs and coordinate implementation with multiple contractor companies
  • Maintain communication with equipment/service vendors
  • Prepare loop sheets, P&IDs, and other documentation to communicate needs of the job

What you will bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates degree in Industrial Technology preferred
  • Degreed: Minimum of 3 years in Industrial Maintenance Planning in a chemical manufacturing operation or extensive I&E related field experience
  • Non-Degreed: Minimum of 5 years Maintenance Planning and/or Maintenance Supervisory Experience along with at least 3 years of I&E planning experience
  • Possess knowledge of production systems, Instrumentation, and electrical equipment
  • Ability to Formulate/Read Sketches, Drawings, and Specifications
  • Broad Working Knowledge of Technology and I&E Codes/Standards
  • General knowledge of CMMS software. EAM/Oracle experience preferred
  • Experience with Primavera and/or Microsoft Projects preferred
  • Ability to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Workers Identification Credential) as issued by TSA (Transportation Security Administration)
