From the moment you join us, you will be immersed in a team of exceptional engineering consultants, project managers, and specialists ready to support you in your career. Alongside the team, you will be assigned to a variety of projects in your chosen area of interest, working to deliver sustainable outcomes for our clients and the communities they serve.

With guidance from a professional engineer, your responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

  • Developing Plan Drawings and Schematics for Electrical and Instrumentation/Controls
  • Coordinating with other disciplines such as mechanical for piping design and process controls for liquid and gas delivery
  • Attending project and team meetings
  • Assist Project Designers in their development of the designs

As an Electrical & Instrumentation engineering intern, you will support the delivery of major infrastructure projects which may include:

  • The design and construction of a Natural Gas Pipeline Facilities
  • The design of Compressor Stations with large electrical motors
  • The design of Industrial Petrochemical processes

To be considered for this 2024 position, you'll need:

  • Pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
  • An interest in learning about 480V & 208V 3 Phase, 240V & 120V 1P Electrical Power including switchgear and motor control centers.
  • An interest in learning about 120V 1P & 24V 1P AC & DC Electrical Power Controls including PLCs and communications.
  • An interest in Instruments including pressure, and temperature transmitters and flow meters.
  • Demonstrable interest in energy projects through relevant experience, such as your field of study, internships, volunteering, or relevant association memberships.
  • Methodical approach to problem solving to undertake tasks efficiently and independently.
  • Willing to follow company design and engineering standards.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills, which allow you to confidently liaise with team members.
  • Wonderful written communication and attention to detail, with an ability to demonstrate accurate technical drawings and good report writing.
  • General understanding of relevant technologies, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, CadWorx, etc.
  • Additional skills using Navisworks for collaboration with other disciplines a plus.
  • Familiarity with different wire and cable types for power distribution a plus.
  • Interest in learning more or familiarity of the use of Ethernet and Fiber Optic cabling for communications.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) preferred
