Job Summary

As a POOLCORP Software Owner, you will become the product expert for your product, work collaboratively with the Product Manager to understand the customer's needs, and work to fulfill them.You will play a role that is at the core of our Agile process by getting deep into customer requirements, prioritizing the features as per their importance.You will own the team's backlog, define user stories, and help shape the vision and product roadmap.

Responsibilities:

  • Represents the customer/business to the feature team.

  • Works with Product Manager to feed the funnel and manage customer feedback.

  • Leads and supports the sizing/effort calculations for a feature and align capacity to velocity required for the team.

  • Prepares and participates in Program Increment Planning.

  • Maintains the team's product backlog by prioritizing the tasks that the team will take up next.

  • Develops and tracks Features and User stories.

  • Defines the user stories and works with the team to make sure they are clear.

  • Application of Behavioral Driven Development (Testing).

  • Acceptance of the stories.

  • Leads team demos and retrospectives.

  • Maintains the technical and conceptual integrity of the features or components for the team.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Business Administration, or related field.

  • At least 3 years' experience in product management.

  • At least 3 years of experience working in an environment using DevOps, preferably Azure DevOps

  • Possess a working knowledge of software technology, computer programming experience, and broad business knowledge.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical material using non-technical language

  • Ability to prioritize and manage work to critical project timelines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Be capable of researching solutions to help solve difficult problems

The annual compensation for this position Nationwide is between $65,000 and $85,000 based on a full-time schedule. Additionally, this position may be eligible for relocation or cost of living adjustments.
