What You'll Do

As the IT Director, you will own the underlying technical footprint upon which the rest of the organization operates. You will be responsible for being productive and successful, providing efficient and effective delivery of Infrastructure, Network, and Service Management. Other duties include:

  • Responsible for the implementation and ongoing care and feeding of the evolving technological landscape, ensuring the IT strategy supports operational efficiency, innovation, and competitive advantage.
  • Ensures the organization is well-positioned to meet current demands while being adaptable to future challenges.
  • Oversees a multifaceted team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, best practices, business understanding, and empathy for our customers (internal and external).
  • Oversee and direct the optimal management of Cloud, Collaboration, Data Center, SAP Basis, Server / Storage, Backup / DR, Identity Management, and key Security services influencing priorities & decisions across the enterprise.
  • Develop and promote a transformation strategy that upends the established on-premises data center environment and results in a shift to a Cloud-native application architecture model that continues to provide reliable and performant support of commercial-off-the-shelf solutions and monolithic enterprise systems. (e.g. SAP ERP)
  • Provide end-to-end expert guidance on how to manage edge device connectivity, Network Access Control, network port/protocol security, switch/router security hardening, firewalls, IPS/IDS, malware detection and prevention, Web Filtering, Cloud connectivity, VPN, and B2B IPsec Connections across IT infrastructure influencing priorities and decisions across the organization.
  • As a foundational component of the company's IT strategy, develop the strategic vision and agenda for network security, both perimeter and internal, and communicate to IT Leadership ensuring alignment and support.
  • Design and configure perimeter security (firewall, IPS/IDS, VPN, web filtering, malware/botnet protection) for data centers, POPs, remote sites, and cloud connectivity ensuring a high degree of performance and service availability for the business.
  • Manage, coach, and lead a team of managers as they champion their teams toward the strategic goals of the organizatio
  • Make the routine easy, improving employee productivity through service delivery service desk, and field engineering teams as they support the organization's end users
  • Act as the principal technology advisor and a champion for identifying, leading, and driving information technology transformation to support business function.
  • Create an IT roadmap with lifecycle management that generates capacity and delivers ROI.
  • Partner with global IT Strategy team to evaluate proposals, build business cases, plan new joint initiatives, and determine how they fit into business capability roadmaps, priorities, and capex/opex profile.
  • Jointly accountable for business value results of technology-related projects. Mediate with IT stakeholders as necessary if process design, technology, testing, management of change, or operational readiness are insufficient to deliver the business value.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelors degree in IS, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • 10+ year's experience in information technology management with a minimum of 3 years at the director level
  • 5+ year's technical experience facilitating the development and implementation of business initiatives and projects based on IT organizational objectives
  • Familiar with the entire technology stack
  • Demonstrated track record of creating and supporting technology solutions to solve business problems (globally, or across multiple divisions or regions within a single company)
  • Understands and stays current with the dynamic IT industry, emerging technologies and trends, industry standards, solution architecture, and the vendor landscape.
  • Adept at process improvement methodologies such as six sigma, or lean, grounded on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
