About your Role:
As a Housing Specialists work as a member of the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team, serving as a critical component of care to adults with severe mental illness. You will work with a team to assess each clients situation and help them succeed in finding appropriate housing, determine their financial situation to be able to successfully remain integrated with the friends, family, and community.You will also work to educate the client on budgeting, build the landlord/tenant and neighbor relationships, and focus on daily living skills such as housecleaning acting as an advocate, skill trainer, community service link, and develops/implements the clients treatment plan. This opportunity includes client transportation using a company car, as needed and a one week on-call rotation every 7-10 weeks.
