Delivering hands-on support, you'll ensure each school's yearbook publication business is successful by assisting with everything from deadline and budget management to team building and marketing. In addition to managing and supporting existing customers, you'll prospect and sell to additional schools in your assigned territory.

The Yearbook Sales Representative position is a unique role that blends creative work, customer service and outside sales. Day-to-day yearbook representative activities includes daily travel to schools, ongoing contact with school administrators, teachers and yearbook classes and Salesforce platform usage for customer and contract management.

What You'll Do in Your Role:

  • Daily travel to schools, both customers and prospects, within the New Orleans area, minimal overnight stays
  • Prospect for new customer accounts and grow market share within assigned territory
  • Support customers through every aspect of publication production, keeping them engaged, on schedule, and loyal to our company
  • Provide advice and critique on photography, design, journalism, technology, classroom management, marketing and business
  • Stay a step ahead of customer schools, keeping them on track with deadlines and budgets
  • Coordinate between schools and the production team to ensure the publication stays on point
  • Collaborate with other local publication consultants to host training workshops and seminars for students and teachers

Educational Sales Representative Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior customer service and/or sales experience preferred (ideally outside, customer-facing sales)
  • Top candidates will also have experience in related fields, such as: teaching, coaching, journalism, marketing, graphic design, photography or printing
  • Competitive and driven personality with an influential spirit
  • Excellent computer literacy skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe or related design software (preferred)
  • Willingness to establish a home office in the greater New Orleans area, work independently, & attend regular, in-person meetings with educational customers in local schools
  • Must have a valid drivers' license and access to a reliable vehicle for daily travel (Walsworth offers a travel expense stipend)
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship, pass background check and drug screen

Support, Training and Resources:

  • Award-winning Customer Support: You'll be assigned a customer service representative from one of our three key sales support teams - consistently rated over 95% satisfaction on customer surveys!
  • Training: Investing heavily in our employees, we start our Educational Sales Consultants with a combination of virtual and on-site new hire training (new reps receive 4-5 weeks of training within their first year) and continue with ongoing education, intensive on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching.
  • Technology: You'll benefit from a top customer relationship management software (Salesforce), leading technology (iPad pro, laptop, software, etc.), and training over technology best practices.
  • Invested leadership: Every member of our sales management team started in the field and was promoted from within. They've been in your shoes!

Compensation:
Our Educational Outside Sales Representatives receive a competitive base salary + bonuses + uncapped commissions + vehicle and marketing expense accounts. Additional benefits include: medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) + employer match, paid time off, life insurance and an exceptional corporate culture.

Imagine your company working as hard to support you and your customers as you do to win and retain them! This is how we're leading the industry, consistently renewing over 90% of our customers. The sky's the limit and earnings are always uncapped.

Many of our employees stay for decades, with good reason. Help us extend our legacy!
