Job Description
YOUR MISSION
  • Create, implement and enforce deployment guides, run books and implementation plans as necessary to support development release cycles.
  • Act as a gatekeeper to the production environments, ensuring that documented policies, procedures and Change Management are followed.
  • Forward Plan the release windows, cycles and schedules across the project and program portfolio, minimizing the impact of production releases on other projects.
  • Manage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Conduct release readiness reviews, milestone reviews, and business go / no-go reviews.
  • Evaluate code for adherence to development standards, security protocols and performance benchmarks.
  • Ensure that current release process supports audit requirements, providing documentation or other relevant data regarding software release procedures as requested by auditors.
  • Collaborate with Development teams to automate the release of new code using CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to build a test scenario catalog as well as automate and track the results of test scenario execution.
  • Continually evaluate the latest trends and technologies in software testing and automation, identify and implement improvements to current processes.

YOUR TALENT
  • College degree in Computer Science or a related field or 5-10 years of experience working in the IT field.
  • 2 - 4 years previous experience as a Release Engineer.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD release pipelines and continuous testing using tools such as GitHub, Azure DevOps or Jira.
  • Advanced knowledge of software development lifecycle, as well as understanding of DevOps tools, technologies, and techniques.
  • Knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL, ETL concepts, SSIS and Dell BOOMI ETL tools, SFTP/HTTP, APIs, Message Queues, and database architecture
  • Knowledge of systems, security and networking as it relates to and impacts the development environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams to task completion.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities while maintaining creativity, attention to detail, oral and written communication skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills.
