Accountable to plan, lead and manage the day to day operations of the Maintenance department. Maintain and improve the Plant infrastructure, creating the environment for developing winning capabilities in safety, service, and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

As the Maintenance Manager, you will be accountable to plan, lead and manage the day to day operations of the Maintenance department. You will maintain and improve the plant infrastructure by creating the environment for developing winning capabilities in safety, service, and operational excellence. Other duties will include:

  • Developeffective relationships with vendors, contractors, consultants, staff and employees.
  • Manage maintenance activities for the nitrate buildings and cord manufacturing areas
  • Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to the pursuit of achieving Zero Harm through behavioral based safety
  • Support manufacturing excellence initiatives and ensures participation from all areas of responsibility.
  • Direct activities in area of responsibility to attain maximum plant operating efficiency.
  • Manage operation within approved budget for controllable costs.
  • Participate in annual budget process and develop budget within areas of responsibility.
  • Write or participate in developing TOR's for annual CAPEX spending.
  • Facilitate all personnel actions as required (scheduling, recognition and reward, discipline)
  • Verify daily inspection of proper operation and condition of plant process and equipment.
  • Ensures all units and areas are kept in clean and orderly fashion (establish and maintain 5S System). Takes necessary action to correct and complement findings.
  • Coordinate with maintenance team to address needed repair work modifications within areas of responsibility, through Active Work Order Management.

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in an Engineering discipline. Chemical engineering degree preferred.
  • 5+ years demonstrated management skills in an industrial, chemical, or manufacturing environment.
  • 10+ years in a maintenance role in one or more of the following industries: industrial, explosives, chemicals, or manufacturing.
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues in all of the various processes associated with manufacturing.
  • Working knowledge of CMMS Systems, preferably SAP Maintenance Module.
  • Working knowledge of Equipment Databases and maintaining database for MTBF and Mechanical Integrity
  • Good working knowledge of the Quality Assurance program and manufacturing processes through previous experiences/roles.
  • Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
