As the VP of Procurement you will be leading and managing the America's Procurement function, ensuring a high performing team, delivering on cost effective solution, and balancing internal requirements with supply market capability and risk.

What You'll Do

As the Vice President of Procurement you will be leading and managing the America's Procurement function, ensuring a high performing team, delivering on cost effective solution, and balancing internal requirements with supply market capability and risk.

n Design and implement the DNA Procurement strategy and ongoing initiatives in line with overall business performance goals

n Functional leadership, coaching, development, inclusion, performance management, and objective setting for all team members

n Ensuring comprehensive sourcing strategies exist for all categories of spend which are supportive of and aligned with broader business goals

n Establishment and delivery of annual and longer term savings targets

n Act as a safety leader within the organization and support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion both within the procurement team as well as the broader organization

n Ensure security of supply for all key products and services

n Establishment and delivery of service level agreements with internal customers

n Manage and lead engagement process with internal customers and external service providers.

n Lead the development, implementation, and alignment of category sourcing strategies and supplier network capabilities for key commodities and spend categories to achieve broad business objectives

n Identify, develop, and manage strategic business relationships and gain a comprehensive understanding of business requirements

n Ensure delivery of effective capital, shutdown, services and operational spare parts procurement for all sites within region

n Maintain and provide a current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends to team members and business partners

n Measure and manage the overall performance of the supplier network within the field of expertise

n Direct the development and negotiation of complex agreements with suppliers encompassing key program specifications and functional objectives

n Manage governance and control programs to ensure business continuity, protect company assets, and comply with corporate and regulatory policies

n Ensure organizational financial goals are met, including budget and savings

n Manage an operating budget

n Develop annual cost savings programs and implement business strategies that directly affect company financial results and growth plans

n Advise on global supplier network capabilities and commodity/spend category trends and industry best practices Manage effective transactions processes for all categories of spend in line with Global Procurement Policy

n Manage compliance and governance processes in Procurement in line with internal and external audit requirements

n Functional leadership through contribution to Global Procurement Management Team

n Contribute to the development of Global Procurement processes and systems through coordination with the Global procurement Capability Team

What We're Looking For:

n Bachelor's degree in related discipline. Master's Degree preferred.

n 15 years experience in a heavy industrial / manufacturing / mining or explosives operations environment preferably in a procurement, supply chain, or logistics role or combination; Sustained career growth with increases in roles and responsibilities; 10+ years in a management / leadership role and a minimum of 5 years in a procurement or purchasing role.

n Proven experience in complex change management and cost containment within a multi national environment with extensive governmental oversight and regulations

n Detailed knowledge, understanding, and experience implementing Strategic Procurement methodologies

n Demonstrated experience in Category and Supplier Management

n Strategic negotiation skills, with a focus on long term category management, supplier engagement, and partnership development.

n Detailed knowledge and understanding of Capital processes and Service contracting

n Application of Risk Management Techniques

n Effective communication and influencing skills with both external service providers and key internal stakeholders

n Sound commercial awareness and understanding

n Strong computer skills in Microsoft office and SAP

Ability to set and measure team and individual objectives
