Job Description

The Airworthiness Compliance Specialist primary responsibility is to ensure that helicopters are airworthy and comply with all relevant aviation regulations, company policies and procedures. Complying with a physical survey of all operating helicopters and reviewing/analyzing records to ensure that airworthiness support of operational, import, and export activities across the America Operations. This position would require frequent travel and remote working for a physical survey of the helicopter and its records. This position reports to the Chief Inspector. The Principles Responsibilities are listed below but are not limited to:

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Plan and execute helicopter specific Airworthiness Reviews across the Americas region ensuring:

  • Airframe, engine, and rotor blades flying hours and associated flight cycles have been properly recorded.
  • The flight manual is applicable to the helicopter configuration and reflects the latest revision status.
  • All the maintenance due on the helicopter according to the approved maintenance program has been carried out.
  • All known defects have been corrected or, when applicable, deferred in accordance Company procedures.
  • All applicable airworthiness directives have been applied and properly registered.
  • All modifications and repairs applied to the helicopter have been registered and comply with Company policy and procedure.
  • All life limited and time-controlled items installed on the helicopter are properly identified, registered, and have not exceeded their limitation.
  • All maintenance has been carried out in accordance with Company procedures.
  • The current weight and balance statement reflects the current configuration of the helicopter and is valid.
  • The helicopter complies with the latest revision of its type design approved by the Agency.
  • All required markings and placards are properly installed.
  • The helicopter complies with its approved flight manual.
  • The helicopter configuration complies with the approved documentation.
  • No evident defect can be found that has not been addressed in accordance with Company procedures.
  • No inconsistencies can be found between the helicopter and the documented review of records.
  • Appropriate execution and professional archiving of records to evidence results of Airworthiness Reviews.
  • Reporting any safety related concerns to regional and global management as appropriate.
  • Compilation of periodic fining analysis to identify trends and inform the organization of beneficial continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Assistance in Root Cause Analysis for findings and safety reports related to Continuing Airworthiness Management.
  • Any other requests by the Chief Inspector as required.

Qualifications

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • A&P Certificate -or- 10 plus years of Aviation Maintenance or QC experience.
  • FAA experience required.

Experience

  • Must have at least 5 years' experience in helicopter maintenance.
  • Previous Continuing Airworthiness management experience advantageous.
  • Proven technical knowledge of aircraft certification requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of Authority requirements.
  • Proven knowledge of functionality of computer programs.
  • Proven experience of IT skills.
  • Proven experience of carrying out helicopter inspections.

  • 4&3 (10 Hours a day)
  • 7&7 (11.5 Hours a day)
  • 14&14 (11.5 Hours a day)
