Position Description
Controller 580 - 070625
Position: Plant Controller Location: Holland, MI Prepare monthly and quarterly internal and external financial accounting and reporting * Complete sections of the annual and quarterly forecasting and reporting * Direct development of standard costs to establish an acceptable base for measuring product cost, expense control, and plant performance * Ensure reporting system is established to ensure accurate and timely monthly reporting * Identify and drive cost reductions throughout the plant * Act as business advisor to Plant Manager and Plant management team * Provide financial support for plant manufacturing initiatives * Prepare schedules to support the plant's external audit * Maintain a system of strong internal controls * Supervise all accounting activities and accounting personnel within the plant; focus on development of finance staff
Requirements: * Five to seven years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment * Strong analytical and communication skills * Strong supervisory skills * Ability to take ownership of ambiguous situations * Ability to work well under deadlines * Ability to adapt to changing priorities * Bachelors degree in accounting (equivalent experience will be considered) Desired but not required: * Experience with MFG Pro, SAP * CPA or MBA * Sarbanes-Oxley exposure
