Analyst IT 550 - 086105Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1.1 Management of on-site I.T. Shift Coordinators and their responsibilities.
1.2 Administration of all plant based I.T. systems. This includes system monitoring, repairing cables, trouble-shooting and performance tuning.
1.3 Primary IT support resource for PC/Server, ERP, and shop-floor systems. Analyzes system issues and provides solutions. Escalates systems issues to BU IT Manager or to Group/Corporate IT depending on predefined process rules
1.4 Management of 24 X 7 1st line support for all systems. Carry a cell phone for 24 X 7 support calls.
1.5 Represent IT at the Plant Staff level by interacting with plant departments, evaluating and reacting to local programming and systems requests.
1.6 Management and scheduling of Site test plans for testing backup equipment.
1.7 Insure that backup / redundant systems and procedures are documented and in place to insure continuation of the business during an outage of the mainline support systems.
1.8 Test backup procedures and equipment including dialbackup, backup servers and printers.
1.9 Perform I.T. system backups on a regular scheduled basis of all on-site computer equipment including monthly filesaves and restores.
1.10 Management of site backups and scheduling system downtime.
1.11 Coordination of I.T. vendors for delivery and maintenance of equipment and software.
1.12 Assist with the development of project justifications for hardware, software and systems including the annual I.T. budget.
1.13 Coordination of all I.T. related hardware.
1.14 Local administration and enforcement of JCI I.T. standards, policies, procedures and guidelines.
1.15 Administration of localized software and hardware upgrades in conformance with JCI I.T. standards.
1.16 Security administration for the LAN and business applications as applicable.
1.17 Maintain the inventory records of I.T. hardware and purchased software at the plant site insuring compliance with software licensing requirements.
1.18 Develop and maintain plant specific operational procedures.
1.19 Maintain a clean, secured, well organized computer equipment room
1.20 Coordination of education and training for I.T. related activities within the plant site.
1.21 Procurement of MRO computer supplies (labels, ribbons)
1.22 Maintain LAN configuration diagram including port mapping.
1.23 Provide daily support for the users (internal and external) of the I.T. applications at the site.
1.24 Maintenance and support of JCI I.T. approved internally generated programs on the site. This includes programming in the language used at the Claycomo site. Examples would include Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal, C .
1.25 Insure the proper functioning of locally supported hardware including preventative maintenance on printers, scanners, terminals and I.T. cabling.
1.26 Management of plant communications systems including telephone system, cell phone and/or pager contracts and hardware, two-way radio devices etc.
Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience
Bachelors Degree or College Diploma in Business Management, Computer Science, or applicable field of study, or related experience
Novell Certified Netware Administrator (CNA) 4.x or higher
Microsoft NT Administration 4.x or higher
HP-UX Administration
Must possess excellent people and communications skills.
Previous supervisory experience of 2 years
Language Skills
Ability to read and write and understand verbal direction provided in the English language.
Technical Skills
2 years experience in supporting Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
2 years experience in supporting Local Area Networks (LAN's) and associated equipment
5 years IT or related experience in a Just-in-Time (JIT) automotive manufacturing environment
2 years experience with the support and implementation of QAD MFG/Pro ERP software
Outstanding PC/Server hardware and software experience including Microsoft Office, Windows'9X/NT/2000/XP, and Novell/NT/W2000 NOS
Novell Certified NetWare Engineer (CNE)
A Certification
Certification in Microsoft Operating Systems and Office Applications (MOUS/MCP/MCSE)
Experience in Lotus Notes Administration
Shop-floor data collection and barcoding systems experience a plus
Experience with computer wiring and cabling systems
Experience with Northern Telecom phone systems
