Job Description

The Opportunity

OurLaPlace, LAlocation is looking for Senior Hydro-Blasting Techniciansknown internally as Environmental Technician IIIto join the team. The successful candidates will be responsible for the performance of tasks associated with hazardous waste clean-up, site-remediation, equipment decontamination and handling of hazardous materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
  • Performs tasks associated with hydro blasting (including automated equipment);
  • Performs labor intensive activities in all weather conditions throughout the shift;
  • Works in atmospheres with low clearances, confined spaces and at heights;
  • Operates light and heavy equipment including: skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers.

What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with 10,000-40,000 PSI High Pressure equipment, vacuum truck or a combination of both;
  • Experience with confined space entries an asset;
  • Valid TWIC Card required;
  • Safety oriented mindset with the determination to follow all procedures and policies;
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends and on an on-call basis;
  • Ability and willingness to work in a physically intensive role.
